Yes — really!
We struggle. We forget. We drift. We have those “I’ll just not count that…” moments π
Some weeks we’re 100% on plan, smashing our Speed foods, tracking every SWIP… and other weeks? Well… let’s just say the memory isn’t quite as sharp π
- But here’s the truth:
That’s exactly why I’m the best person to support you. - Because when you struggle — I’ve been there.
When you feel in control — I’ve felt that buzz too.
When you’re flying — I’m cheering the loudest π - I get it. I live it. And I’m right there with you π
Day in My Life – Monday 27 April 2026
I decided to log a full day of eating — honestly, openly, and with zero “Instagram perfection”!
I’m vegetarian, so my choices might look a bit different, but this just shows how flexible, filling and delicious this lifestyle can be.

Breakfast – Protein Power Start
- 2 Fried Eggs (Fry Light) → Free + Protein
- Birds Eye Potato Waffle → 2 Swips
- Mushrooms → Speed Food π
- Baked Beans → Free (Protein + Fibre)
- Chef Brown Sauce (small drizzle) → ~1 SWIP
- Tea with milk → Healthy Extra A
Now listen… people always say “I don’t have time!”
Waffles in the toaster βοΈ
Eggs done in minutes βοΈ
Beans… I’ll happily eat them cold π
Quick, filling, and keeps me going for hours — because protein is king π

Out & About – Real Life Temptations
I had a meeting for my other job (yes… I do have one! π) with the Education Authority.
Now THIS is danger territory… delis, sandwiches, pastries calling your name π¬
Instead:
- Americano → Free
- 250ml semi-skimmed milk (flask) → Healthy Extra A
Preparation is everything. I went in armed and stayed on track πͺ

Lunch – Quick, Filling & Flavour Packed
- Ainsley Harriott Moroccan Couscous → 2.5 Swips
- Vivera Shawarma Kebab (½ pack) → 1 Swip + Protein
- Onion (½) → Speed Food π§
- Rocket → Speed Food π₯¬
- 30g Cheese → Healthy Extra A
- Water → Free
This is one of my go-to meals. Big bowl, loads of flavour, and seriously satisfying π
(Lactose-free cheese is a bit of a mission, but we work with what we’ve got!)

Afternoon Pick-Me-Up
- Tea → Free
- Cherrylicious Hi-Fi Bar → Healthy Extra B π
Honestly… this feels like a treat every single time π

Life Happens (and Steps Count!)
By 4pm I’m out with the dogs πΆπΆ — fresh air, sunshine, a good dander.
Then into the garden, pottering about the greenhouse π±
This is real life — movement, not punishment.

Dinner – No Excuses, No Rules About Time!
Finished in the garden around 7pm… and it’s EASY to think:
“Too late… I’ll just grab rubbish.”
Nope β
There is NO rule about what time you can eat!
So I made:
- Tesco Stew Veg Pack → Speed Food π₯π₯¬
- Richmond No Chicken Pieces → Free + Protein
- Stock cubes → Free
- Tomato paste (2 tbsp) → Free
- Garlic & herbs → Free
- Worcestershire sauce splash → Free
Normally I’d throw in gravy… but when I’m focused, I keep it as Free as possible π
Big pot. Hearty. Filling. Zero guilt.

Evening Treat (Because Why Not?)
Not even that hungry… but fancied something sweet:
- Weetabix Choc Chip (1) → Healthy Extra B or ~3 SWIPs
- Raspberries & Grapes → Speed Food ππ
- Remaining milk → Healthy Extra A
A perfect little chocolate fix without going off track π

Daily Summary
- Healthy Extras Used:
- A: Milk + Cheese
- B: Hi-Fi Bar (+ optional Weetabix choice)
- Speed Foods: Mushrooms, onion, rocket, stew veg, fruit π
- Protein: Eggs, beans, Vivera kebab, Richmond pieces
- Total SWIPs: Approx. 7
- Estimated Calories: ~1800. (I know we wouldn't normally mention these, but just to prove how filling and low in calories our fab Slimming World food is!)

Final Thoughts
That’s a LOT of food, right?
No hunger.
No deprivation.
No guilt.
Just real, filling, everyday food π
And here’s the key bit…
Weight loss comes from a calorie deficit — roughly:
- Ladies: under 2000
- Gents: under 2500
But did I feel like I was “on a diet”?
Not one bit π
