Running a Slimming World group involves a lot of behind-the-scenes costs – from hall hire and refreshments to the equipment and resources that help create the warm, welcoming environment you enjoy each week.


๏ปฟThe majority of these expenses are covered by your Consultant (that’s me! ๐Ÿ˜„) and are included in your weekly group fee. Other smaller costs, such as raffle prizes or bits and bobs for group events, may be supported through our group social fund – raised with your help through things like raffles and special collections.


Below, I’ll break down both the Consultant-covered costs and those supported by the Social Fund, so you can see just how much love and effort goes into making our group the special place it is every single week. ๐Ÿ’šโœจ

Social Fund

Our Social Fund is a special pot of money raised entirely through the generosity of our amazing members – mostly from contributions to the weekly raffle. This fund is held in a separate bank account and is owned by the group, not the Consultant. It’s managed with care and transparency, and every penny goes back into making our group the warm, welcoming and enjoyable place you know and love. ๐Ÿ’ซ


To comply with financial regulations, we keep the fund below a certain limit so it doesn’t become liable for tax. When it begins to build up, I (as your Consultant) may make decisions to invest in larger items that benefit the group, such as a new coffee machine or other enhancements that add to the social feel and comfort of the group experience.

Each and every week, there are substantial costs involved in the safe, smooth, and successful running of our Slimming World groups. These are not passed on separately to members – instead, they are fully covered by your Consultant using a portion of your weekly membership fee. These expenses are essential to ensuring our group is the supportive, inspiring, and welcoming place you’ve come to love. ๐Ÿ’ซ
